Spirit Week

Monday, March 3rd: "Pet Day" (or better known as, bring in your favorite stuff animal)! The stuff animal must be small enough to fit in child's bookbag

Tuesday, March 4th: Rock Start Day (dress like your favorite rockstar, no props needed)

Wednesday, March 5th: School Spirit Blue & Green Day! Fun Run Pep Rally!

Thursday, March 6th: 80's/Neon Day! (we know what the 80's are but for the students, they  might need some assistance ha)

Friday, March 7th: Cowboy/Cowgirl Day! (Yeeehaaaw, leave the horses at home though) 

 

Lunch Menu for the Week of 2/24

2/24 - Taco and Tuna with crackers
2/25 Veggie Lasagna and Corn dogs
2/26 Pizza and Pretzels w/cheese sauce
2/27 Chicken Fajita Wrap and Cheese Dunkers
2/28 Hot Dog and BBQ Sandwich.

Lunch Menu Update

Until the end of February, lunch menus will be changed most days. Information regarding the changes has been posted on the WCPSS website. Because of the snow orders could not be placed and deliveries could not be made.

 

FYI:   Today we will be serving corn dogs and ravioli.

Challenge Words

So here we are, another snow day!  I'm sure that all of you are busy working on school work so I just wanted to provide a brief explanation for the challenge words.

Challenge words are mostly nonsense words (not real).  They are mostly multisyllabic words that follow phonics patterns that have been taught so far in class.  Your child may choose the activity for practicing these words.  Examples include: ABC order (although this has not been formally taught in class yet), typing the words on the computer, rainbow write, chalk write, etc. These words are great practice for strengthening your child's spelling and they will not be assessed in class.  As always, please let me know if you have any questions.
